About Budget Birthday Parties

Hi, I’m a mum of three kids, currently aged 7 to 13. I’ve been making my own party decorations since the kids were very small, to save money but also because their interests were often quite specific, try finding a snail-themed birthday bunting on a shelf. These days, so many parents are working full-time and still have to watch what they spend. While an at-home party is often the most affordable option, it also takes the most planning. I created this site to make that easier, with budget-friendly party ideas, printable games and decorations, handy tools like an online dice and spinner, and articles that get to the point with no long preamble. I’ve done the research to create party plans using products you can actually buy from major shops, not obscure online stores where the shipping costs more than the items you're buying. I’ve also kept busy families in mind. Most party plans use convenient pre-made food where possible, and realistic decorations not creative masterpieces that take 3 hours and 4 adults to assemble. If there’s anything you’d like help with, ideas for downloads, games or tools, I’d love to hear from you. Or if you have feedback on a specific article, positive or negative, it’s hugely helpful, both for myself and other readers. If you'd like to support the site, the best way is simply to share a link with friends (rather than just sending them a PDF). It helps more parents discover the free resources, and every visit helps cover the costs of keeping everything free. I’m always trying to add to the site, but I have to work around my real job and the kids’ schedules, so updates can be a little irregular.
